Provincial Governments of Kalimantan held Dayak Cultural Festival

PALANGKARAYA, KOMPAS.com  - Provincial Government (Provincial) Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan and West Kalimantan will held Dayak Cultural Festival.  Activity will centered at the Bung Karno, Jakarta on 27-30 April 2013.

Based on the information of Public Relations and Protocol Kalimantan provincial government received Wednesday (03/04/2013), the festival which will be held for the first time is scheduled as an annual event. In the upcoming years, the festival is planned to hold at provinces of Kalimantan in turns.

The event brought with collaboration of Dayak National Indigenous Council (MADN), Dewan Adat Dayak (DAD), and all provincial and districts in Kalimantan. This festival will be celebrated in a carnival along the 2.5 kilometers of roads in Jakarta on 28 April 2013.

In addition, performance art and culture held that enlivened the fashion show of various districts / cities in Kalimantan. Central Kalimantan Governor Agustin Teras Narang said the festival was a Dayak community national-level activity held for the first time.

A senior official has sent a letter to the regents / mayors in Central Kalimantan which gives a positive response to state participation in the festival. It is collaboration with organizers and four provinces, supported by third-party assistance.

"The issue of budget is not a problem matter. It has been able to solve. I hope Dayak Cultural Festival 2014 will be held in Central Kalimantan," he said.
