Rooted in the riverine court culture of Kediri, within the legacy of Kerajaan Daha, the legend of Keong Mas recounts the exile of a princess transformed into a golden snail and surrendered to the current. Often told as a tale of jealousy and eventual restoration, the myth endures more subtly as a meditation on interiority: how radiance withdraws without diminishing, how virtue folds itself into silence without losing form. The golden shell is not spectacle but structure — a spiral architecture of protection in which identity is neither erased nor broken, only distilled by water and time.

Conceived as a portable vessel of that interior gold, the scarf translates mythology into surface and movement.
