SAMARINDA- The 13^th Mahakam Festival is about to rise on 1^st – 3^rd November 2013. 

“We are proud to present the 13th Happening of Mahakam Festival on 1^st to 3^rd November 2013 ahead”, says head of Department of Culture, Tourism and Communication and Information Technology  (Disbudparkominfo) of Samarinda, HM Faisal, Sunday (1/9/2013).

Faisal said some especial particular agenda will also conduct. Dragon Boat Race will challenge other cities to compete the competition. And not to be missed, exiting prices awaits the winner for Dragon Boat Race’s competition - with category of composition 10 to 20 speed rowers - to win a remained Trophy of Samarinda Mayor with total amount 20 millions, and Speed Boat Race amount 30 million rupiahs as well.  

“Through this announcement, we are cordially inviting participants from both local and among other East Kalimantan province to involve. To whom that has not received an invitation, kindly enroll your registration to steering committee”, said Faisal.

In addition, steering committee will again conduct a record-breaking MURI to be centered at Samarinda Islamic Center. “We will make two record-breaking as well as to arouse Mahakam Festival 2013 on Saturday November 2^nd with entitled “A Remarkable 3000 Mom and 500 Father”. Entire Samarindas could join this agenda”, he confirmed. 

Several regular activities such as Tambangan Boat Race, Indie Band Festival, Pub Band Parade, Coastal Dance & Indigenous Dance Competition, Marches, Cultural Ceremony of Hudoq Kawit, Mahakam Expo and Mahakam Jazz Fiesta. Registration is remaining open at September 2^nd, 2013.
