Mahakam Festival 2013: a ritual ceremony of Hudoq Kawit Parade
Efforts to conserve nation’s art and culture are brought in Mahakam Festival 2013 by the Municipal of Samarinda.
"Commonly, Festival Mahakam was also held a parade Archipelago's Cultural in conjunction with Hudoq Kawit ceremony and Drum Band competition as well. This festive agenda will be held on Sunday morning at November 3, 2013", said H. M Faisal the Head of Culture, Tourism & Communication and Information of Samarinda.
This festive agenda has become an annual agenda of Culture, Tourism and Komimfo Samarinda that always brings the best of local dance.
"Creative local Dance Competition will be performed, each with the category Traditional Dance and Coastal Dance Competition, scheduled for 1 to 2 November 2013 in the Stage Road Anggi, Islamic Center Samarinda." Said Faisal.
Winner of the contest will be included on “Festival Kemilau Seni Budaya Benua Etam 2013”at provincial grade.
“Especially for this traditional dance, the winner will envoy Samarinda province at Festival Kemilau Seni Budaya Benua Etam 2013” at provincial grade, which, off course, will achieve a trophy, certificate of appreciation and development funding”, added former of the Head of Public Relations of Municipal Government.
While the ceremony for the series Hudoq Kawit held throughout Sunday then meat the peak at night conducted at the court of Attorney General Office Governor of East Kalimantan.
“Agnes Gering as a coordinator emphasized that the ceremony Hudoq Kawit was held on Sunday morning to start a peak on November 3, 2013, featured Hudoq artisan and from of West Kalimantan’s group. All together will collaborate with some tribes of ethnic group that lies in Samarinda." said Agnes.
