BALIKPAPAN  - Welcoming Christmas and new year 2014, board of The Police of Civil Service (Satpol PP) will be involved directly with National Army and Indonesian National Police officers to do security operations in entire church in Balikpapan. "So at Christmas, we should together with the Indonesian Armed Forces and the National Police do security in the churches," said Kasi Ops Subardiyono to Balikpapan Post, on Friday (13/12) yesterday.

After securing the church at Christmas, the H-2 new year 2014 Satpol PP will safeguard some public facilities such as sidewalk that usually used by many seasonally street sellers (PKL) that sells various equipment related to new year as trumpets, children's toys, corn and fish.

"In order to secure public facilities, last year  we have done such as securing fish sellers and corn on the sidewalk, which this year we will do security at the same way," Subardiyono.

The area that will monitored are some part of Sudirman main road especially in new markets and Markoni. In addition the protocol, this area is most often made into a spread their merchandises on the pavement. "We will monitor to clearing the spot," his promise.

Fireworks, however, Satpol PP Subardiyono added, won’t make the sweeping operations due to special moment once a year. Subardiyono only asked the community can maintain security and order in celebrating New Year to come.

"For the exceptional, vital company like Pertamina forbid to any lighting fireworks activity due to avoid dangerous fire and disturbing public order," he said.

In the celebration on upcoming Christmas and New Year Satpol PP will be involved in order to enforced conductivity of Balikpapan City. This would also close coordination with The Framework Region Officer Working Unit City Government Balikpapan.(Pri)
