Kembang Goyang is traditional snack from Indonesia (Betawi). If its translated into English, the word 'Kembang Goyang' means a shaking flower. Kembang Goyang is made of rice flour which is mixed with eggs, sugar, a pinch of salt, and coconut milk. The dough can be fried after heating the oil and the Kembang Goyang mold. After the oil and Kembang Goyang mold get hot, the mold can be put into the dough and then put into the hot oil again while shaking a mold until the dough get unattached.

Kata Belenggo mungkin sama artinya dengan tari. Sebab ada ungkapan "diblenggoin" yang artinya diiringi dengan tarian. Ada pula yang menyebut Blenggo berasal dari kata "lenggak-lenggok", gerakan yang lazim dalam suatu tarian.
Terlepas dari segi etimologis itu, Tari Belenggo tidak memiliki pola yang tepat. Umumnya gerak tari diambil dari gerak-gerak pencak silat. Jadi sangat tergantung pada perbendaharaan gerakan pencak silat penari yang bersangkutan. Sehingga seorang penari blenggo yang menguasai silat Cimande dengan geraka-gerakan pendek akan berbeda dengan yang menguasai silat Cikalong yang gerakannya panjang. Tetapi ada juga keyakinan bahwa gerak-gerak pencak atau gerak lincah tidak selalu berasal dari gerak pencak silat, sehingga seorang penari belenggo tidak harus bisa pencak silat.
Berdasarkan musik pengiringnya, Tari Blenggo dibagi menjadi dua: Belenggo Rebana dan Belenggo Ajeng. Blenggo Rebana diiringi oleh rebana biang dan Belenggo Ajeng diiringi oleh gamelan ajeng.

Lenong is a form of theater traditional to the Betawi people of Jakaera, Indonesia. Dialogue is generally in the Betawi dialect. Actions and dialogue are often presented in a humorous manner on top of a stage known as a pentas tapal kuda, so named for the way actors enter the stage from the left and right. Audiences sit in front of the stage. The number of performers is determined by the needs of the story. Male performers are referred to as panjak, while female performers are known as ronggeng. Performers are generally poorly educated.
A performance is generally opened with a prayer, known as ungkup, and a ritual offering. The performers are then introduced. Gambang Kromong is one of the musical genres which may accompany a performance. Musicians may use various instruments, including flutes, gongs, accordions, or drums. The songs are traditionally quite formulaic, and several songs are common in performances, including "Cente Manis" and "Jali-Jali". Chinese musical influences can be seen.
Performances can be classified under many genres, although most are about heroes or criminals; tales adapted from folklore, such as from the One Thousand and One Nights, are also common. In broad strokes there are two main subdivisions of lenong, namely lenong denes and lenong preman. Stories in lenong denes focus on the exploits of the nobility, the rich, and the powerful. Lenong preman stories are always about commoners or folk heroes. The type of performance will affect the costumes worn. Stories are not memorised from a script. Rather, performers will memorise an orally-presented outline and follow that, with improvisation as necessary.

Es selendang mayang adalah salah satu minuman tradisional Indonesia asal Jakarta. Minuman ini sekarang jarang ditemukan karena dikalangan masyarakat Betawi sendiri minuman ini dianggap minuman kuno. Di acara-acara tertentu seperti Lebaran Betawi, minuman ini disajikan dan sering disertai dengan label "minuman Betawi jadul".
Selain menyegarkan, minuman ini dapat mengurangi rasa lapar karena dibuat dengan bahan dasar tepung beras. Beberapa penjual di kota tua membuat minuman ini dengan bahan dasar tepung hunkwe dengan alasan lebih mudah dan efisien.
Es Selendang Mayang memiliki ciri khas yang sulit sekali dilupakan oleh benak kita, perpaduan warna merah, hijau, dan putih menjadi gabungan warna-warni yang menarik. Mirip seperti selendang yang berwarna-warni, kan?

It was a quiet, windy Friday night in the midst of a lackluster New York Fashion Week schedule. When the fashion crowd showed up for the debut of an unknown Japanese costume designer, they weren't sure what to expect. What unfolded, however, was one of those rare, magical fashion moments that takes the whole room's breath away.
Dramatic gowns of rainbow confection cascaded down a sweeping staircase. An impressive cast of models, from actresses Gwendoline Christie and Rowan Blanchard to models Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski, Joan Smalls, and Karen Elson hit the runway. A grand finale of colorful gowns led to even grander applause. All this for the work of Tokyo-based costume designer Tomo Koizumi, who was discovered on Instagram a mere month ago.
Koizumi's New York Fashion Week debut was a parade of dreamy, cloud-like gowns in a spectrum of striking colors. But it was also a modern-day fashion fairytale. Stylist Katie Grand discovered the Japanese designer's work while scrolling Instagram last month and immediately reached out to see if he wanted to do a show. The rest is history.
Koizumi is not a trained fashion designer. According to a WWD profile, he's a self-taught costume designer from Tokyo, where he works with just one assistant. This week marks his second-ever visit to New York and his first time meeting Grand in person. Neither she nor Koizumi know what the designer's future looks like in the fashion industry, but the stylist felt passionate about sharing his work at New York Fashion Week.

Gambang kromong merupakan seni kebuadayaan Betawi yang sampai saat ini masih terus dilestarikan, kesenian ini sering dimainkan pada acara-acara resmi dan pesta rakyat.
Gambang kromong adalah orkestra tradisional orang Betawi yang merupakan perpaduan antara gamelan, musik Barat dan nada dasar pentatonik gaya Cina. Gambang kromong terkait erat dengan komunitas Betawi Cina, khususnya Peranakan Cina. Itu populer di tahun 1930-an.
Lagu-lagu yang dibawakan pada musik gambang kromong adalah lagu-lagu yang isinya bersifat humor, penuh gembira, dan kadangkala bersifat ejekan atau sindiran. Pembawaan lagunya dinyanyikan secara bergilir antara laki-laki dan perempuan sebagai lawannya.
Selain mengiringi lagu-lagu, Gambang Kromong biasanya mengiringi tarian sosial seperti tarian Cokek, tarian pertunjukan yang baru dibuat serta di teater Lenong.

Sejak dahulu, Betawi mempunyai banyak jenis kesenian atau tradisi yang dapat diangkat ke masyarakat. Salah satunya adalah tradisi palang pintu. Palang pintu mempunyai arti sebagai tradisi untuk membuka penghalang yang diwakili seseorang atau lebih agar dapat masuk ke suatu daerah. Tradisi ini biasanya di pakai pada acara perkawinan atau acara umum (menyambut tamu khusus pada acara tersebut).
Para pelaku Buka Palang Pintu merupakan orang-orang terpilih. Sebab mereka memiliki peranan masing-masing. Sedikitnya ada lima orang pendukung tradisi. Orang pertama berperan sebagai juru bicara, dan orang yang pandai berpantun. Orang ini dipercaya membawa pesan yang disampaikan dengan pantun sebagai bentuk sopan santun.
Kemudian ada pengiring, yakni tiga orang atau lebih pemukul rebana ketimpring yang sepanjang jalan menyenandungkan bacaan shalawat. Masih ada yang penampilannya ditunggu tunggu, yakni seorang pesilat sebagai simbol kesiapan pengantin laki-laki untuk berkeluarga dan melindungi rumah tangga. Terakhir tak kalah penting, ada pembaca sike. Seorang yang bersuara merdu yg menyenandungkan shalawat atau syair dengan irama sike ini merupakan simbol kesiapan batin calon pengantin laki-laki, bahwa dia siap membimbing istrinya
